Dahlia Tuber FAQs
Will your tubers have eyes?
Yes! I do not feel good sending any tubers out without eyes. I have bought too many tubers over the years that do not grow because they lack an eye when receiving them. It's frustrating! I only sell tubers with eyes.
Where are our tubers grown?
Each tuber we sell has been grown on our farm for at least one growing season. They have been checked for disease and we are pleased to offer the tubers we do.
If you are local: You may arrange to pick up your tubers for porch pickup. Enter code LOCALPICKUP during checkout so shipping is not charged.
All tubers will ship USPS Priority Mail:
Once an order is placed, the sale is final and there are no additions or modifications allowed. If you would like to order additional tubers, you will have to place another order and they will be shipped separately. Shipping charges will not be combined. It is a very labor intensive process to ship your tubers and we do not have time to sift through orders to make sure we are getting the right orders combined or add to them, nor do we have time to refund shipping costs.
What to Expect
Dahlias sprout at different times depending on the dahlia variety. Early blooming dahlias are going to sprout sooner (about 2 weeks) than late bloomers which can take 6-8 weeks to produce eyes. There are many conditions that affect growth. Prior to shipping, each dahlia tuber is inspected for at least one viable eye.
Dahlia tubers are sold as singles. Your dahlia tubers will be bagged by variety and packed in wood shavings.
Please note that dahlia tubers come in all shapes and sizes and their size does not determine the size of the dahlia plant.
Please be sure to contact us at email@example.com within 14 days of receiving your order if you have any concerns. It is important that you inspect your order upon receiving it. Please note that due to extreme weather, growing conditions, or pest damage of your tubers are beyond on our control and we are unable to give refunds for these causes. We are not liable for any damage or loss resulting from storage, weather conditions, or rodent damage.
Please make sure that you know your growing zone and if your tubers need to be dug up and stored over winter. In some zones they will freeze and die over the winter if not properly cared for.
